No pretenses or preservatives; just an honest appreciation for the ingredients and tradition. We pride ourselves on allowing the natural flavors of the ingredients speak for themselves! Our ways may sound simple, but our food is anything but!
Born in Brazil, raised in Italy, Chef John Braga has had a passion of his mother’s authentic and homemade Italian food. Growing up he looked up his mother’s cooking, following every little steps until he mastered every dish. At the age of twenty-four he moved to New Jersey, he worked his way to sous-chef at some of the finest New York and New Jersey eateries, and also part of the team that was the personal chef for the owner of the Empire State Building in New York City.
Chef Braga has had the opportunity to cook for everyone from Ladybird Johnson to the Dallas Cowboys football team. “I was just glad to have a job, and I was very lucky. I got to shake the hands of celebrities such as, Frank Sinatra, John Travolta, Eddie Murphy, Brook Shields, Sandra Bullock, and many others, little did I known that one day I'd be cooking for them as well.”
In June 2012, John, alongside with his wife, Accountant and Marketing Director, Roxana Braga acquired Milano Trattoria in the Wolf Ranch Shopping Center in Georgetown, Texas. Now, owning two locations in Georgetown and Round Rock, Texas every dish is made with the same care and quality that were the hallmarks of the famous places he’s worked in the past, including his signature dish, Italian Osso Bucco, that was pronounced “The Best In Austin, TX” in 2008.
